One of TAE’s top favs Banksy is at it again, and this time the anonymous street artist does a creepy yet brilliant take on Disneyland, aptly calling it “Dismaland.” It’s a lot like the world-famous theme parks, but with interesting twists, some of which are deemed either somewhat disturbing or exceedingly cool depending on the viewer’s outlook.

The massive art installation can be seen all the way across the pond, specifically in Weston-super-Mare, England. Now open to visitors, you can check out Banksy’s “bemusement park” (a play on theme park) of which the artist says “I guess you’d say it’s a theme park whose big theme is – theme parks should have bigger themes.” Here’s the 2-minute trailer to the theme park like no other:

It’s sarcastic, moody and dark. Don’t get it wrong, it’s not a bash on Walt Disney and his theme parks – there’s nothing against the brand. The artist claims, “I banned any imagery of Mickey Mouse from the site,” he told The Guardian UK. “It’s a showcase for the best artists I could imagine, apart from the two who turned me down.”

The 2.5 acre location “is an art show for the 99% who’d rather be at Alton Towers,” he tells Huffington Post UK. The “family theme park unsuitable for small children” has been breaking the internet since before it even officially opened. It’s Banksy’s largest project to date, with works from 58 artists and films by 22 directors and animators, all of whom he personally handpicked.

Be sure to visit soon as you can because this awesomely twisted theme park only runs for another month, until the 27th of September, for just $5 a ticket!
