One of the TAE creatives got a recommendation for an artist named Erik Jones, and I’m so psyched to feature him here on our website today. Born in St. Petersburg, FL, but now residing in Brooklyn, NY, Erik creates some of the most vibrant works of art I have ever laid my eyes on.
In his bio, Erik’s work is described as colorful and expresses a “heightened sense of realism,” and that his unconventional approach “mimics geometric high-end fashion.” He uses different types of media together, including acrylic paint, colored pencil, watercolor, water-soluble wax pastel, and water-soluble oil on paper.
Since he received his bachelor’s degree from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota back in 2007, Erik has been busy touring the country and exhibiting his works. He’s had a few solo and group exhibitions in Florida, New York, and here in California. He’s also done commissioned work as well, and I’m not surprised his prints are sold out at his website – he’s just that good.
Visit Erik’s website to see more of his colorful contemporary art.
