While browsing pictures on National Geographic, I stumbled upon an amazing photographer whose portfolio is beyond amazing. Travis Burke is an adventure photographer whom I’d certainly love to meet one day. His work is so inspiring because it’s full of color, wonder, and beauty that only Mother Nature can give us.
Unlike some photographers who tweak their photos so much that you begin to doubt their credibility, this guy’s style is simple but yields amazing results. From what I know, this Southern California-based photographer and traveler loves to combine his passions for action and the outdoors. “I want understand the feeling and excitement then capture that through photography,” he describes on his Facebook page.
“I shoot action and adventure photography, everything from base jumpers, rock climbers, race cars, surfers, skateboarders, snowboarders, pretty much anything outdoors,” he said once in an interview. “I specialize in shooting things that are either action or adventure related.”
And while he has worked with big names like National Geographic, Crossfit760, ESPN, X-Games, and so much more, he stays humble – practically living in a van which keeps up with his very active and exciting lifestyle. Right now, he’s in the middle of a one-year road trip, which is super exciting not just for him but for his thousands of fans around the world!
Here are just a few of his works from his extensive, impressive, and downright exciting portfolio:
If you can’t get enough of his photos, you can head on over to his website. I know I can’t wait to see what else he’s got cooking… And one day, maybe after his long road trip, I’ll get to meet him (he’s from Oceanside, after all).
Thanks so much for reading!
