This is San Diego Comic-Con weekend, and unless you have been living under a rock and no idea what that is, then you are in for a treat. SDCC is well, a convention that focuses on comics and related pop culture, with many people often dressing up (cosplaying) as their favorite characters.
SDCC is always a fun event, and it led me to find this artist who seems to fit in to the comic-loving persona. The artist Chris Smith is yet another one of those I stumbled upon on Instagram, and I was immediately blown away.
Not a lot can be found online about Chris, but it takes no time until you would fall in love with his realistic sketches of some of pop culture’s favorite superheroes, and other fictional characters. His tools of the trade are his Prismacolor Premier Pencils on Earthbound Recycled Paper.
The artist, who is a web developer in a Manchester-based company, has a number of heroes, villains, and other lovable characters he’s drawn, and here are some of our favs!

Buy work from the artist on his website and Etsy shop, talk to him on Facebook, and follow him on Instagram, DeviantArt and Twitter. He also has a Pinterest where you can see not just his pencil sketches, but also his digital art designs.
