I’m very excited to share with you some exclusives from Stormie Mills, a TAE favorite. You know we love street art from all over the world, but having this Australian genius thrilled to be involved with TAE just makes it all the more special.

What I truly enjoy about Stormie Mills’ story is that at a young age, he already started pursuing his dreams. Originally from Wales, Australia, he moved around the country and the world. As a teenager, he discovered spray paint and street art.

The reason he got so into this type of art was revealed in an interview. He said, “When I went to New York in 1986 to meet my parents and brother Oliver, I met a bunch of guys that were subway painters and I saw the work of Jenny Holzer and John Fekner. These people were the godfathers of street art. They had a movement, and I was so impressed by them that it certainly changed the way I was thinking and steered my work into another direction.”

The rest is, as they say, history. His style is very unique, as his mysterious little characters are simple yet hauntingly beautiful, as if each has their own story to tell. When you look at his paintings and street art it’s automatically a no-brainer as you’ll know it’s his work and nobody else’s. I guess it’s why Stormie Mills’ works are true testaments to what TAE stands for: to explore, discover, and share art, forever inspiring others in doing what they love!
