TAE recently discovered Marcello Barenghi, a Milan-based illustrator and graphic designer who’s quite popular on YouTube. His channel showcases over a hundred tutorials and demonstrations of his drawings which are so realistic it’s often difficult to believe they’re just created by hand.
His renders are often done with just colored pencils and markers, but the results are unbelievably real-looking that you just want to put your hand through the computer screen and grab them! His YouTube channel has been around for just over a year, but Google’s video moguls already presented him with an award for having more than 100,000 subscribers. That’s just an amazing feat!
He has already been featured in a number of magazines and blogs worldwide, from his homeland of Italy to Taiwan and all other places. However, his fame has not gotten to his head – he’s even willing to share his creative techniques to anyone interested. Not only does he share videos of how he creates art, but he also describes on his website how he draws a realistic illustration. This is highly impressive, very generous, and completely coincides with TAE’s motto of forever inspiring others to do what they love!
Check out this video of him drawing a crushed Coca-Cola can and be amazed:
Here are just some of his drawings and illustrations, as well as oil painting reproductions (he started loving art at 9 years old when he saw the Mona Lisa and attempted to reproduce it). He uses mixed media for these, including paints, colored pencils, and airbrush.
You can visit Marcello Barenghi’s homepage to know more about him and his works, purchase art, or just gaze in awe at his tutorial videos. Thanks for reading!
