Previously, I’ve featured various surreal artists here on TAE. I am a huge fan of merging fantasy with reality, so recently discovering the work of Rosie Hardy makes me really excited to share some of her cool shots seemingly taken right out of another realm.

Rosie describes herself as an “escape artist,” and she says on her blog that she takes photos because she has worlds inside her mind, which “exist in songs and poetry and art.” She continues that there is “something else out there, there’s a freedom which you can’t grasp.” It’s no wonder her portfolio is filled with dream-like images.

Her stunning collection of photos is artistic and diverse. The 23-year-old, Manchester-based creative has made a name for herself in the slightly underground Flickr photography cloud. Her surreal expressive shots have gotten the attention of big names in pop culture, allowing her the chance to produce photos for bands like The 1975 and Maroon 5 (she did a fireworks-inspired press photo for the former, and the album cover for the latter’s album “Hands All Over”).
