Artist Guido Gutierrez Ruiz loves using his smartphone to take pictures. His Instagram, using the moniker guigurui, features amazing pictures of many things he encounters during his travels all over places like Canada, Spain, England and Portugal.
He says that he’s trying to show people that sometimes, even smartphones can produce really good pictures. “With the use of a smartphone, one can take a beautiful picture that tells its own story,” he tells.
With over 12,000 followers on his Instagram page, Guido has earned quite a fanbase, as his photos are top quality shots of everything, from animals, to scenery, to famous tourist destinations, with occasional personal posts (it is Instagram after all).
However, what the artist has a lot of would be shots of puddles and watery reflections. What triggered this fascination? “Many people don’t like rain, but the puddles left behind can be more than magical,” he explained. “Every time I see a puddle I take out my smartphone and put my camera lens as close as I can get to the puddle and capture its parallel world.”
