There’s an Italian studio called Truly Design, and they’ve made a project that combines street art stylings with optical illusions. Their play on perspective and using fragmented pieces make “Vanitas” their masterpiece. All the designs on this piece show one common topic: science and technology.

Spread over a bunch of box-like, sand-colored shapes, the artwork of these four creatives from Truly Design need to be viewed from certain angles in order for someone to see the whole image properly. Sometimes, though, the disjointed look also makes things seem interesting and all the more artistic.

Why did they create Vanitas? It was actually for the public exhibit “Art on Science” hosted by the Polytechnic Federal School of Lausanne. Check out pictures of the finished anamorphic artwork and some behind-the-scenes pics below:
