Sometimes even the most bizarre combinations create the best results. This is proven true by Warsaw-based artist and designer Pawel Nolbert. He mixes painting, sculpting, typography, and crafts, as well as photography and digital illustration techniques, in order to create unique works of art.

In his project called “Atypical,” the posters he creates are self-described as “half-exploring the form and rhytm of letters or pseudo-letters acting as half-realistic, half-illustrative figurative sculptures.” The mix of stylish colors and painterly lines result into typography unlike any other.

They start off looking like these…

…and here are the gorgeous results!

Eventually I would LOVE to interview him so I can know more about his inspirations for his colorful works! There’s so much more that Pawel Nolbert does on top of his “Atypical” typography project, and you can view them at his website.

Thanks for reading!
