There’s no ignoring Nike’s latest reintroduction of their 1972 Mid sneaker Blazer. With an entirely new, high shine translucent makeover, this lustful wet-look is catching attention from fashion trend seekers rather than just courtside ball players. The Blazer was one of the first models to receive a women’s specific version. Several decades ago, Nike made its first venture into the world of basketball with the Blazer, a simple shoe featuring leather, suede or canvas upper anchored on a cupsole. While the structure of the shoe remains faithful to its original design, the latest fabrication features a completely iridescent upper sole combined with a white outsole and metallic laces. Although we sincerely doubt this revamped icy design will stand the test of time as well as its classic predecessor, we can’t turn down these ultra-futuristic, candy colored kicks. If you’re hoping to reel in some curious onlookers early this Fall, the Nike Sportswear’s Women’s Nike Blazer Mid sneaker is now available on nike.com/sportswear and at select retailers.
