TAE loves surreal, dreamlike photos, and Vincent Brady’s timelapse pictures are right on the money. He shot a lot of these magical photos of fireflies mostly during summer last year at two major locations: Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and Grand Ledge, Michigan.

Fireflies always looked mystical when we were kids, and Brady seems to have his inner child come out whenever he photographs them. “Fireflies just bless you with their presence, light up, make love, and call it a life,” he said in an interview.

When asked why he does it, he responded, “It is good fun chasing them. Cruising along the lake under the stars with the fireflies lighting up the treeline is breathtaking.”

Brady’s fascination with these creatures began sometime in April 2012. He originally did star trails, and he thought it would be a good idea to try the technique on fireflies. The results were unbelievable, and just indescribable. You really have to see them to appreciate:
