Instagram has allowed me to discover so many new artists, one of which is Puerto Rican street artist Alexis Diaz (from the art duo La Pandilla, with his friend Juan Fernandez). Having painted walls with his unique murals all over the world, including Mexico, Australia, the UK, Austria, France, the US, and his home of Puerto Rico, this guy’s works really speak for themselves.
Based in Miami, the Puerto Rico native’s works are surreal, yet easily identifiable. Black-and-white “main” images in the style of Chinese ink prints easily stand out from the bold colors that make up the background. In addition, his brand of street art also involves fine lines that seem to be done painstakingly slow and precise.
Here are just some of his amazing, thought-provoking artworks found everywhere. I’d love to spot some in person as some of these works are relatively near where I live. He also has some other means of art other than murals, such as his paper cuts. Take a look at some of my favs:
