“Flowerworks” is a new fine art series created by Sarah Illenberger. The German multi-disciplinary artist collaborated with photographer Sabrina Rynas to create this beautiful set of images that portray flower arrangements as if they’re bursting fireworks in the night sky.
Yes, you read right – the image above and the images following the next few paragraphs are flower arrangements. The Guardian even dubbed them as “blooms that go boom” citing Sarah’s creations as undoubtedly “explosive … displays.”
Sarah is already known for her unique style of juxtaposing art, graphic design, and photography. This brand of overlapping different disciplines has earned her a name in the art scene, having attracted the attention of some of the world’s top magazines and brands. She’s even filled plenty of exhibition spaces around the world, including Tokyo, Berlin, and Paris. She has also been giving talks since 2003 all over Europe.
Born in Munich and currently based in Berlin, Sarah has created a style that can only be attributed to her – mixing analog craftwork that uses our everyday items with the digital world. Indeed, Sarah creates vivid pictures that challenge the viewers’ perspectives on objects we’re so used to seeing as mundane.
Sarah has more quirky stuff from all her other projects which can be seen at her website.
