What do you get when you introduce a fashion photographer to double exposures? Experimental but wonderful images that seamlessly blend scenes with fragmented bodies or faces. Turkey-based photographer Erkin Demir explores his art more daringly in his expressive black and white portraits.

It’s not like your average double exposure either – he mixes things up so well and so closely that it seems as though roofs form person’s shoulder or pine-like trees form a man’s hair and side of his face. By merging certain carefully-selected details from two photos, Erkin adds depth to otherwise simple normal portraits.

Born in 1989, you’d never guess this man started off in an entirely different field – he studied business administration before diving into fashion photography. He’s now a freelancer, and says he is “trying to reflect my point of view and fantasies on fashion photographs.”
