Today I’d like to feature the fine work of Brooke Shaden, a surreal photographer whose tagline is “creating new worlds through images.” I love that she has a lot of passion in inspiring people through her art. She began as a self-portrait artist, but now has established herself as a “fine art photographer.”
The Pennsylvania native now lives in Arizona, and she takes photos that look like paintings. One thing that makes her unique, aside from her painterly technique, is that she uses the square format. A lot of the pictures feature a person and some sort of element of nature, but they really seem otherworldly.
I really enjoy looking at every single piece she has! A lot of the images are really “dark” in nature, but there’s generally a good mix of emotions in her collection. Here are 10 of my favorites:
