TAE is getting inspired for the upcoming holiday… Día de los Muertos or The Day of the Dead! For those of you who don’t know, this international cultural tradition that began in Mexico, celebrates the lives of the deceased with food, drink, dancing and traditions passed down from generation to generation. Every year, the OMA (Oceanside Museum of Art) brings this holiday to life with an exciting event called Art After Dark. TAE is excited to introduce and take part in organizing SPACE-SNA. My friend Christopher Konecki, the same guy who brought you Warehouse 1425, is the founder and curator of this one night event in Santa Ana, CA. I will be there through the process with all the artists and to enjoy SPACE-SNA opening on September 7th. No rules will restrict the artists’ creativity. No agenda will bind them. This is an artist driven project that breaks away from the confines of the traditional gallery structure.

Orange County Artist Inspired By Rock ‘N’ Roll, Cars, & Girls

Based out of Southern California, Shaunna’s art is inspired by the cars, pin striping and pretty girls from growing up around Orange County Raceway. She also mentioned other inspirations such as old advertisements, antiques, lingerie, toys, and rock n roll, all of them obviously apparent in her work.
