As a graphic designer myself, I love finding inspiration everywhere I turn. There really are no boundaries, especially in today’s tech-driven world – today’s TAE feature comes all the way from Vienna, Austria! There’s very little about Nesch Design you could find online, but the actual stuff you will find will most definitely impress you.
Based on what you can see in his Instagram posts, he does graphic designs both on the computer and on paper, drawing by hand. His palette of choice is a simple black pen on white paper, with the rare moments he fills some detail using a shade of what I can only describe as Carolina blue. Then, he cuts out the paper with just enough of a white border to surround the main shape.
Okay, so many artists use that tri-color technique. What makes Nesch’s art different? Other than his signature bold lines, there are designs and patterns within his main subject. One area may be of polka dots, another of scale-like patterns, another with fine vertical lines – you get the drift. While in theory, a mesh of patterns should clash, the overall result of his work is actually daringly beautiful.
Take a look at some of the TAE top picks from his portfolio and see for yourself:
