As a lover of all things art, TAE enjoys sharing inspiring things from all over the world, from artists of all ages. For today’s post, I want to feature a 14-year-old phenom named Zev, who uses the moniker Fiddle Oak. He’s a budding young photographer that combines portraits with macro shots, creating surreal images we can only find in the depths of our imaginations.
Zev started taking photography seriously at age eight (Wow, right?) and started playing around with Photoshop around the same time. His sister Nellie is just as talented, and she helps Zev with concepts and setting things up in addition to her own photography. Maybe we’ll feature her next time. Meanwhile, take a look at some of the TAE favs from Zev’s extensive portfolio.
Here’s a sample of the two basic images he took, and the result of his photo manipulation:
Cool, huh? Here are more finished shots:
I’ll be on the lookout for this kid – his skills are just so great, and it would be fascinating to watch his style get even better as days pass.
