Based in the UK, Will Bentham creates portraits larger than life using a street art staple – spray paint. Going by the name “Lowdown,” his signature style is realism meshed with a bit of grunge, usually set against a colorful background.
With such few pieces of information about him online, it’s quite understandable since his artwork usually speak for themselves. He describes his style as “contemporary urban portraiture using a combination of freehand and stencil spray paint techniques.”
Sometimes, he also collaborates with his girlfriend, working on pieces in the studio. However, over the past year, his main ambition is to exhibit his art in as many different places as possible. And because his main work is street art, he still has that goal to create such works in many cities as well. And rightly so – his imagery is a breath of fresh air no matter where you place them.
