Old San Diego Street Art
TAE is based in San Diego, so I think it’s rather fitting that we take a look at some of the best street art around town. This place has one of the most diverse urban art scenes, which started about 30 years ago. People often cite the 80s as the decade the street art movement in San Diego started to really bustle.
What started as a rebellious way of venting and expressing art soon became an appreciation and understanding of what these artists really are about – positive self-expression that not only benefit themselves but also beautify the city.
If you’re from the area or are visiting, take a look around – there’s hundreds among hundreds of street art around, from big to small, simple to complex, ranging from graffiti to stencil art to 3D textures and mixed media making use of the surrounding areas brilliantly, you name it and it’s here.
